2026 BREWER APPLICATION

Started in 1998 and attended by more than 100,000 beer lovers, Tap New York is one of the largest and longest running craft brew festivals in the country. The event takes place over two days, and attendees are encouraged to stay overnight at the resort. We expect 2,500+ attendees with marketing in radio, print and social media from Albany to New York City.

Event Dates: Saturday, May 16, to Sunday, May 17, 2026 (Rain or Shine)

Brewery Licenses Required from New York Liquor Authority:

1.     Breweries holding a Microbrewery License or Farm Brewery License must get a “Marketing Permit” to participate in the brew festival.

2.     Breweries holding a Restaurant Brewer License must apply for a “Temporary Beer Permit” to participate in the brew festival; they are ineligible for a “Marketing Permit”.

Type & Quantity of Brews: Brewer’s choice to cover a variety of favorites, seasonal tastes, and new introductions including Non-Alcoholic (0.5% ABV or less) and Specialty (Cider, Mead, Sake, Kombucha, Hard Tea, etc.). We anticipate at least 50-60 gallons (minimum (4) half-barrels or equivalent) per brewery. We will have a refrigerated trailer on-site on Friday of the event for delivery or bring with you first thing on Saturday morning for storage in the refer. The quantity (and brewery allowance) may be adjusted the 2 weeks prior to the event as we finalize ticket sales.

Festival Will Provide Brewers:

  • $400 wholesale allowance per Brewer (check issued post-event accounting for returns); breweries departing prior to Sunday breakdown may receive partial allowance

  • 1 night’s lodging if desired: onsite RV hookup, onsite tent campsite, offsite hotel; breweries departing prior to Sunday breakdown may have their lodging deducted from wholesale allowance

  • Promotion including company logo & website link through www.Tap-NY.com and social media marketing

  • Designated space with 6’ table including area under a group tent (if needed), and on-site staff parking

  • Sampling cups, ice as needed, trash cans, and volunteer staff to support breweries

  • Up to 4 brewery representatives are provided free access each day to pour, with their own sampling glasses; any additional brewery representatives must pay $40 each for a sampling glass

Brewery Will Provide Festival:

  • Appropriate New York Liquor Authority permit (Marketing or Temporary Beer) to participate in the festival

  • At least 50-60 gallons of various product (minimum (4) half barrels) with brewer invoice accounting for any returns; late brewer invoices will not be considered for payment after June 30

  • All pouring materials and equipment, plus decorations for your space with company branding

  • Staff to represent brewery for setup and during the event

  • Certificate of Insurance naming the following as Additional Insured – DEADLINE: March 15, 2026
